Guara of the Week: Eva Karina Aguilera

Eva Karina Aguilera

Eva Karina makes Barquisimeto proud with her talent as a journalist, announcer, entertainer, lecturer, and actress.

If there’s something Barquisimeto has taught us, it is to dream. From all ages and corners of the Twilight City, the Guaros have managed to say present in all the talents you can imagine; we can find musicians and dancers from our city all over the world, but sometimes we don’t have to go that far to find the dreamers. Our Guara of the Week is one of those that pursued her dream until she made it, so let us tell you a little story about Eva Karina Aguilera.

Since she was a little kid, Eva Karina knew how much she loved the radio. While her friends were playing outside, she could spend hours listening to radio shows and calling to ask for a song, just to be on air for a few seconds. It wasn’t until 2002 when she had the chance to meet her love face to face, thanks to those good coincidences that happen in life she ended up in a radio cabin; right after that moment, there was no going back. The dream of the little girl who listened to the radio all day was on its way.

Ciudad Dinámica Barquisimeto

Eva Karina’s radio show, “Ciudad Dinámica,” has been on air for 10 years, making the best out of local journalism.

Her first radio show, Al día con Eva Karina, was just the beginning of a long and successful career, and being a mother didn’t stop her, so she kept working to become a better announcer, and began her studies on Communication and Mass Media at Cecilio Acosta University. For 16 years, Eva Karina has brought happiness and love to the radios of the Twilight City; she looks to get into her listener’s heart, to be the friend who could give you some advice through the radio.

For Eva Karina, her mission in life doesn’t end on the radio, and that’s why she has also helped to build the careers of many students who have had the same dream that she had a few years ago. She has been the voice of the experiences in the classrooms and workshops she has done.

Now, ten years have passed since she began her radio show, Ciudad Dinámica, where she has found a window to inspire and tell the good things that are happening in the world. Eva Karina has found a beautiful connection through the radio with her listeners, with all the Guaros that have listened to her for more than 3650 days. From Yo Amo Barquisimeto, we’ll keep supporting all the talented Guaros, and we hope to keep listening to Ciudad Dinámica for many more years.
